Product Faults & Warranties

Indigo Workwear takes genuine manufacturing defects seriously. However, not all issues reported as “faults” qualify as defective products or warranty claims.

We are a retailer and do not manufacture the products we sell. All manufacturing defect determinations and warranty outcomes are subject to assessment and, where required, brand approval.

What Qualifies as a Manufacturing Fault

A product may be considered faulty only if:

  • A genuine manufacturing defect existed at the time of purchase, and
  • The defect affects the product’s structural integrity or intended performance.

What Does NOT Qualify as a Fault

The following are not considered manufacturing defects:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by heavy use, misuse, or impact
  • Improper care or cleaning
  • Comfort issues or personal fit preference
  • Incorrect sizing
  • Minor cosmetic imperfections
  • Industry-standard size variation (2–4%)
  • General product breakdown due to trade or environmental exposure

Reporting an item as “faulty” does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund, replacement, or credit.

Fault & Warranty Reporting Process

If you believe your item has a genuine manufacturing defect:

  1. Email orders@indigoworkwear.com.au
  2. Provide:
    • Clear photos of the issue
    • A brief written description
    • Your order number

Our customer service team will review your submission and advise the next steps.

Inspection & Assessment

  • The product must be returned to our store for physical inspection if requested.
  • Customers are responsible for all shipping costs when sending items for assessment.
  • We do not provide prepaid return labels for fault or warranty claims unless the defect is confirmed after inspection.

Where required, the item may be forwarded to the brand representative for independent assessment.

All final determinations regarding manufacturing defects remain at the discretion of the brand.

Warranty Coverage

Not all brands provide manufacturer warranties.

Customers should not assume that product failure within a certain time period (e.g., less than six months) automatically qualifies for replacement or refund.

Warranty coverage, duration, and remedies vary by brand and are outside the control of Indigo Workwear.

If a Claim Is Approved

If a claim is approved by the brand or determined to be a genuine manufacturing defect:

  • A remedy will be provided in accordance with the brand’s policy.
  • In most cases, this will be issued as a gift card to the value approved, which may be used toward another purchase.
  • Cash refunds are not issued for warranty claims unless explicitly authorised by the brand.

If a Claim Is Rejected

If the assessment determines:

  • The issue is not a manufacturing defect, or
  • The damage resulted from wear, misuse, or external factors,

The claim will be declined and:

  • The item may be returned to the customer at their expense.
  • Standard return conditions may apply if eligible.

Important Acknowledgement

By purchasing from Indigo Workwear, customers acknowledge that:

  • Manufacturing fault determinations require inspection.
  • Brand approval may be required.
  • Warranty outcomes are not guaranteed and are not solely determined by Indigo Workwear.

If this process does not meet your expectations, we respectfully recommend purchasing from a retailer whose warranty structure aligns with your preferences.
